Welcome

The Rolling Plains Quail Research Ranch will be used as a research and demonstration facility to foster our understanding and management of bobwhite and scaled quail in West Texas. Quail will be the focus of all we do on the ranch. Our odyssey began in earnest in March 2007 as we trapped, leg-banded, and radio-collared quail. We initiated count efforts in March with helicopter counts and later in May with call counts. These were just the beginning, the future holds much promise and we are constantly gaining new friends...and new students of quail.
