Roadside counts have proved to be highly accurate estimates of our quail abundance at RPQRR over the past ten years. But that’s not always good news . . . just accurate news. Our roadside counts conducted last month were identical to counts done in September 2019; both years recorded 1.4 birds per kilometer.
